Frequently Asked Questions

Find the answers to the mostly asked questions below.

The meaning of different email verification status are:
  • Safe: It's pretty much self-explanatory. Everything is good about that email address, and most likely this is a personal email address.
  • Role: Role addresses are also valid and safe. The only difference is it is a company role-related email address (not a personal one). For example, [email protected] (it belongs to the support team, not an individual person).
  • Catch-All: Catch-all emails are not invalid. Catch-all means that the email server accepts emails at any address (even if the individual address does not exist) and most likely redirects them to a specific address that an admin can read. So, if you send emails to these addresses, your email will not bounce even if that individual address does not exist. However, you may receive soft-bounces from them, which are basically a reply email.
  • Disposable: It is a temporary email address. A lot of companies offer temporary email addresses, which are generally valid for about one hour. Sometimes people use these addresses to verify something and after that they never check the email again (also, they will not be able to).
  • Invalid: It means that the email address is not available/registered. Your email will bounce back.
  • Inbox Full: The inbox of that user is full and can no longer receive new emails. However, if he deletes some old emails or increases storage, he can start receiving emails again.
  • Disabled: Similar to invalid. But that account was good before but the provider disabled that. For example, Gmail blocked an account of someone.
  • Unknown: We couldn't verify the status of that individual address (although the server is configured for receiving emails). Your credits are automatically refunded for such results.
Emails can bounce for various reasons unrelated to the validity of the email address itself, including:
  1. Incorrect configuration of SPF, rDNS, DKIM, and HELO Commands.
  2. Receiving soft bounces, indicating temporary delivery issues but not harming the sender's reputation. Most of the time they are just a reply email.
  3. Restrictions on the sender's server IP by email service providers or spam filters.
  4. Email content being flagged as spam, potentially due to HTML formatting.
  5. Exceeding ISPs' rate limitations.
  6. Non-compliance with RFC Standards.
  7. Inclusion of 3rd party tracking links that trigger spam filters.
  8. Incorrect handling of grey-listed domains by the mailing application.
  9. Being blocked by the recipient, such as being manually marked as spam.
  10. IP and email addresses may not be properly warmed up.
Understanding and addressing these factors can reduce the chances of email bounces, ensuring smoother email communication.
To minimize email bounces from valid addresses, consider the following strategies:
  1. Ensure your emails appear natural and limit the number of links and tracking links.
  2. Do not send too many emails in short time from one address.
  3. Do not include too many links or tracking links.
  4. Make sure all links in your emails have a good quality score.
  5. Consider using an email warmup service for cold email campaigns.
These tips can help to improve the deliverability of your emails, reducing bounces from good addresses.
To make it simple, you can consider the credits as an internal currency. When you perform a verification, the credits will be taken from your account. One successful email verification will cost you one credit only. You can get credits by purchasing or by referring friends (coming soon).
In short, the answer is yes. One successful verification will cost you one credit only. However, credits can be used in some other operations in the future.
We provide two different types of verification credits:
  • Instant Credits (Lifetime): These are the credits that never expire. You can use these credits whenever you want and keep them on the account as long as you want. They are also not capped by the daily credits.
  • Daily Credits: The daily credits are the credits that renew/reset everyday for as long as subscribed. When both types of credits exist, the daily credits will be used first. The daily credits are not a limit to the instant credits.
If you have both daily and lifetime credits in your account, the daily credits will be used first. Lifetime credits will only be used if daily credits are exhausted.
No, we never charge credits for unknown results. The credits refund automatically as soon as the task completes. Most of our competitors charge for processing results even if they are unknown. Some claim to refund the unknown credits, but the customer needs to contact their support every time. We are very clear in this case. Credits will automatically get refunded to your account as soon as the verification completes. You can also find the status of refunded credits in the “Credits History” section.
Yes, you can. Currently, we accept uploading excel files in CSV format. Our system will identify the email column based on the column header and the data itself. After the verification, the download file will have some extra columns created with verification details. Your original columns will remain the same.
Generally, it takes around 20 minutes to verify a set of 50,000 mixed-quality email addresses. The average time will increase or decrease based on the size of your email set. The verification speed also depends on the quality of email addresses. Some email servers do not respond as fast as others. Some email addresses require multiple checking to avoid gray listing rejections. Also if our server got overloaded by the large verification tasks from different users at the same time, your task can get queued and can take a little longer (however this is a rare case as we deploy new servers if we detect such overload issue).
We do not store any uploaded data for more than 15 days. All the uploaded data will automatically get deleted after 15 days. And that’s the reason, you will not be able to download any verification results after that period. We never share any of your your uploaded data with anyone. Your uploaded data is fully secured within our protected system.
